I'm smiling Vicky....such good news!
It's amazing how like-minded people are drawn together by forces that seem out of our control. I'm in awe of your good work.
Hello diamond
I've run some tests to compare with your stretching pain:
With my arm outstretched and wrist flexed it hurts me a lot. Painful enough for me to stop doing it.
I compared that move to arm outstretched in front like a punch but this time with all arm muscles engaged (tensed up)...
moe, your recent inspirational advice on giving ourselves permission to have a break or 'give ourselves a break' was a fabulous gift to me! Your shaving one leg analogy says it all!
I'm thinking of you and sending you a big dose of permission to take your own medicine! Go on, you'll be glad...
Thanks lyrin.
My Dr suggested trying hot yoga but I don't handle heat well and dismissed it but it's good to hear about these other versions. Very useful information if I'm ever well enough again.
I do basic yoga at home now when I get the urge but years ago attended classes in Iyenga yoga...
Welcome to the forum Mrsdmh.
I think getting diagnosed does make a difference in that you can now set about looking after yourself in a slightly different way. With fibromyalgia you need to learn to pace yourself.
There are so many good tips on the forum if you read back over some older...
I wonder why our brains keep us awake sometimes? Yes, pain keeps anyone awake but when you can't even trust your own brain to sleep when you tell it to there's something amiss!

Ask as many questions as you like. Lots of friends here who understand our struggles.
I love this thread, thanks moe!
I have learnt so much! All of you are brilliant. It's time for me to stop trying to prove myself and getting sick doing so.
I'm one of those people who disciplines themselves to complete what has been started. I've never read half a book, no matter how bad it...
Diamond, stress is also a killer for me.
It has always affected me in that adrenaline surge sort of way as well. Have you heard the term "adrenaline junkie"? Well, those people are like aliens to me. They do all sorts of things to get an adrenaline buzz! Exact opposite to us.
Stress or...
Yes, out of the mouths of babes, eh...
I've lost a little bit of weight in the past by writing down everything I put in my mouth then looking at the list with horror! If you get a calorie counter and modify that list by taking out the high calorie ones it's a good start. 1200cals a day gave...
Hi moe,
What keeps you awake? Is it pain? Or just racing thoughts?
I've been trying Tramadol 50mg slow release and sleeping a lot better but I'm scared to take it every night for fear of getting hooked. I'm just using it a few nights a week because I sleep ok if my pain is less.
