Fibromyalgia Forum

Welcome to the premiere fibromyalgia forum for people affected by fibromyalgia (FM) and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). Our fibromyalgia forum is a volunteer-driven support site provided free of charge to help anyone directly or indirectly affected by fibromyalgia and/or chronic fatigue syndrome. Our fibromyalgia forum was created for individuals like yourself - people impacted by the debilitating effects of fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and chronic pain.
Get Fibromyalgia Help
Our forum consists of individuals working together to provide fibromyalgia help, exchange information, provide moral support, share information and helpful tips. Together we learn to cope with fibromyalgia, make friends, and help one another live healthier and happier lives in spite of CFS, fibromyalgia and chronic pain.
We encourage you to join our fibromyalgia forum to ask questions, get help treating fibromyalgia, and to share your experiences with chronic pain, CFS and FM. Remember, you're not alone, in our support group people chat about their journey with fibromyalgia, people just like you, affected in the same way as you, dealing with the same problems and issues as you.
Together we provide hope, information, support and friendship to people affected by fibromyalgia and sufferers of chronic pain. Mothers, daughters, brothers, sisters, patients, caregivers and friends alike.

Fibromyalgia research, study and awayness has increased over the past decade. While once a relatively knew, unstudied and unknown condition, it's now widely believed to be showing signs of being a disease and as knowledge grows, so to does the available treatments and therapies.
Developments in the understanding of the physiology of Fibromyalgia have led to improvements in treatment. Therapies include prescription medication, behavioral intervention, exercise, and alternative and complementary medicine. Integrated treatment plans incorporating medication, exercise, education and cognitive-behavioral therapy have shown effective in alleviating pain and other related symptoms such as chronic fatigue and depression.
If you have experienced deep radiating pain over your body in excess of three months this is a telltale sign of Fibromyalgia. Lyrica may help with these symptoms. Clinical studies with patients of Fibromyalgia took Lyrica and found they had less fibromyalgia pain, chronic pain and radiating pain as patients that did not take Lyrica. Medicated patients felt better and could do more activities throughout that day compared with patients not taking Lyrica.
We've had some incredible people join us lately and it's inspired us to make our forum community even more special, helpful and welcoming. In addition to a massive amount of attention, huge numbers, registrations and signups, we've also added a ton of new features to the site. It's our hope that all our new members, followers and friends will use these new features to help us build doctor directories, support group listings, and of course, keep our forums buzzing, compassionate and helpful.
The social media, site and support group launch has been a success. We've had our first 30 special, friendly, lovely members register, have almost 100 likes on Facebook, and started a Twitter account that's been catching on.
Our Twitter already has 462 followers, and with only 10 likes shy of a 100 we'll call this week inspirational.
Please take a moment to register to our support group and post some comments, questions or provide answers to someone else's questions. Together we can provide support, love, care and compassion for one another.
In hopes of attracting quality members affected by Fibromyalgia to the site we've added some promotional icons through the site. These buttons include a "Join the Forum" along with a notice to anyone anonymously visiting the forum. Our hope is to attract 500 to 1,000 members over the next three months.
We're proud to announce that the support group forum is now live. If this is your first visit we would like to give you a warm welcome and thank you for taking the time to invite you to join our Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Chronic Pain support forums. If you have any questions, would like to join, or have interest about these conditions we encourage you to get involved.
We are pleased to announce the launch of Fibromyalgia Forums. This launch signifies an important stepping stone in the development of this website and fibromyalgia community.
We are currently running Alpha 1. Changes to come for our beta launch include a fibromyalgia forum, discussion and chat group. Additionally, we'll soon be looking for our first and most important initial moderators.
If you have any questions, suggestions or feedback please visit our Contact Us page.
FibromyalgiaForums is proud to announce the launch of our Facebook page. We're hoping our jump into social media will kick start our group and help everyone be better able to keep in touch, communicate, share stories and spread awareness.
If there's any members that would like to help moderate or promote our Facebook page please touch base using the contact page.
All the best and hope you're doing a little better today than you were yesterday.
