Does anyone get migraines with their fibro flare ups?
My fibro is flaring up today, and my head is also killing me!
I am sensitive to migraines, and stress often triggers them.
But I guess stress also triggers my fibro to some extent.
Does your partner pressure you or make you feel bad when you are in pain and cannot be as active as you are normally? I have to pretend that I feel good most days, because I know mine would leave me if he knew how I really felt.
My kids sometimes complain that I don't want to go places or do certain things on my bad pain days. It makes me feel depressed and guilty, like I am a bad mother or something. How do your kids react to your fibro, and does it make you worse hearing the complaining from them?
Guaifenasin and probiotics have helped me the most. Along with exercise and a whole foods diet.
I don't always follow those, though, and then returns the pain. I wish I had the discipline to just stick with it, because I hate feeling terrible.
You have some really great ideas for how to keep warm? I am sure needing them today. It is my birthday, and I feel terribly cold today. Not sure why. I guess the air temperature outside must be going down. I try to take hot baths a couple times per day, but then I am cold when I get out also!
It is very hard to find a supervisor that understands an illness and cuts an employee slack for it. The last job I had was terrible. The manager wouldn't ever let me have any time off due to me being salary - she thought I was supposed to work 365 days per year. I got burned out and started...
I had severe body pain after delivering my baby.
Thought it was a fibro flare up. Turned out some of the pain was from a progesterone birth control pill they had just put me on. Anyone having pain that might be somewhat attributed to hormone pill side effects? Stopping the pill resolved that...
Guaifenasin anyone?
Has anyone tried this? It gets rid of my pain completely when I am on it long term and avoid salicylates. A doctor that found this remedy suffers from fibro.
Thoughts?
I've hurt myself significantly while moving furniture before. If you are moving, hire someone from Craigslist to help you move things.
Doing it yourself will hurt for a long, long time. It is hard to break the pain cycle once it starts.
My worst pain is in my cervical area/neck. I work on computers and have an infant, so I am always in an awkward position holding him or bottles or staring at a computer. Using pillows a lot definitely helps my back and neck.
