Covid 19 Vaccination with FM/CFS

I never think what people on things like facebook say can be taken as serious information or should be used to determine my own decisions. It's notoriously unreliable when it comes to facts.
Serious side effects from the vaccines are rare, whereas serious effects from getting Covid 19 are universal and often very serious. Each person has to make their own decision, but I think trusting random posts on the interne is misguided to say the least.

I got my first vaccine shot and for about 24 hours my arm was ever so slightly sore. I probably would not have even noticed it except I was looking for effects. After that first day everything has been fine.

It's very important for as many people world wide to get vaccinated as possible, because that is the only way that we can ever get the incidence and fatality level of this disease enough under control to start leading normal lives again.
I think it's unwise to allow scare stories to cause anyone to forgo the vaccine that will make all the difference in our future lives.

Since you mention it, the scientific framework in developing the current vaccine has been in the works for over 10 years. Unless you have HAD a Covid infection, you have no way to compare having Covid with being vaccinated. The effects for the vaccine CAN be different in every case, and so can the effects of a Covid infection. In my age bracket, permanent disability and death are much more risky than vaccination.

STILL, personal research into the science is the best way to make individual decisions.

This is day two-ish for me, after receiving the first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. I've struggled with moderate headaches, FM body aches, FM fatigue, and soreness at the site. My symptoms/side effects are a 4 on a 1-10 scale. I'm in the US.

I had the AstraZeneca on Monday afternoon and come the evening I went downhill and my legs were so achy and sore that I found it hard to walk. It’s now Friday and still don’t feel well. I’ve had more headaches and nausea than ever before& the tiredness is worse. At one point I thought it might be the Tramadol but I’ve been tolerable to it for the past year& 2 months and I find it hard to believe that my FM symptoms have suddenly got worse due to that as too much of a coincidence. This really puts me off having the second one and I’m hoping that I’ll be back to “normal” soon. Can’t lie cause I do feel really rubbish and praying I’ll be okay before too long. It’s just weird that I’ve only felt like this since the vaccine. The dizziness I get is horrible too and just adds to the nausea. I’m going to start taking a magnesium supplement as apparentl meant to be beneficial for people with FM. I know there are other’s too that may help but I’ve heard of good results with the Magnesium so will try that one first.
Please note that I’m purely venting and I don’t wish my experience to worry anyone not yet had the vaccine after all we are all different.

There are so many Facebook groups with that name. Can you be more specific.

Pfizer first shot 2 weeks ago, Day 5 low-grade fever, headache, swollen glands, intense fatigue, queasiness. It’s lasted over a week so far and got worse at Day 9. strange fever clammy feeling around hat band area. I have a history of bad reactions to vaccines. I’m nervous about the second shot. US nearly 60.

US, 70, phizer, first shot, second tomorrow. Very sore arm, extreme exhaustion to the point of being physically ill, could not do anything, effort even to move, lasted 2-2 1/2 days. About a week later, worst flare I have ever had, head pain, vertigo, nausea, brain fog which may or may not have been related. Tentatively waiting to see how I react after the second.

I wrote my post out but mustn’t have pressed send as can’t see it on here.
I had the AstraZeneca and at first I was okay but later that night omg my legs ached and it was such a deep ache and were so sore I could hardly walk. Had constant nausea, dizzziness and headache from hell. Unfortunately I was like this for 5days& it’s so hard cause I don’t have anyone who can help me so walking my dog feeling like that was a hardship in itself. My legs were only that severe that evening after receiving vaccine which was 2pm, the other symptoms were just constant. It’s making question having the second one but comparing that to catching Covid& not knowing how ill you will actually get with it I know I’m wiser to have it I just don’t want to feel like that again and the nausea was something else. I suppose I’ll have to just suck it up and hope that my reaction next time round won’t be as bad😩🤢

Hi - I had the Astra Zenica first dose last weekend and I also had a treatment with lidocaine injections across my shoulders and up my neck. Because I had both within three days I don't know which made me so sick - maybe both. I had various symptoms including headaches, extreme fatigue, and some queasiness and I also had a patch of hives on my upper back for 5 days.

My husband had the same vaccine the same day and was only feeling a bit off for a couple of days - in fact the first two days after my vaccine dose I was not bad at all - it was the rest of the week that I spent in bed ill. I've just accepted that I have a super sensitive system that over reacts to everything.

The pain specialist who delivered the lidocaine thought I had a sensitivity to the Lidocaine, but all of that happened about 5 days after my treatment. So was it the vaccine or the pain injections or both that made me sick?

Today it's the weather making me sick...

Mine is booked for this week (no thanks to my go who totally ignored my request for group 6!..they refuse to acknowledge my diagnosis of CFS/ME). Will let you know next week re your survey.
Is your survey purely for this website or exterior, if so, where exterior?
Take care.
I just thought it would be an interesting study amongst us. I had mine since I started this thread, had the Pfizer, sore arm during the night (couldn't raise it but wasn't about that), felt fluey and spent 24+ hrs in bed. Then all ok the next day. Now suffering with the worst case of fatigue and brain fog since diagnosed with ME in 1994. But this could also be as a result of the devastation that the statins (Rosuvastatin) had on me in late Jan/Early Feb. Also started on Clopidogrel since although I believe this is unlikely to cause fatigue - so somewhat convoluted as to what has exactly caused this severe fatigue.

I had an extremely sore arm and total complete exhaustion to the point of feeling ill for 2-3 days after my first shot, phizer. I am 70 years old with no health issues whatsoever except fibromyalgia. I am not on any medication. My second shot resulted in extreme overall pain, discomfort, sleeplessness the night of the shot, with the pain and discomfort gradually decreasing over the next 2-3 days. That being said, my 88 year old stepmother, who has numerous health problems, had no reaction or discomfort whatsoever from either shot. I also think it is extremely important that everyone get vaccinated and would have appreciated a heads up on what to possibly expect, however, that would not have changed my decision to get the vaccine. Just be prepared for possible reactions and that you may need to take the time to deal with them.

Got my second pfizer last saturday. somebody suggested me to get tylenol before so i did.
all saturday i felt good. Sunday morning at 4am i got 101 fever, chills, tireness, aches to all my body including my arm where i go the vaccine.
monday around midday i was fine.
now i feel a little tired and some body/muscle aches but i think it s the FM pain, not the vaccine anymore.

Got my second jab today. Same as the first, my arm and shoulder are slightly sore as if I overworked the muscles. Probably it will be gone by tomorrow afternoon; that is what happened last time. Really no big deal at all. And now I can stop worrying about getting the disease, a worry that was definitely contributing to my stress in the past year. So I expect to feel better all the way around.
I encourage everyone to get it, and not to listen to the scare tactics and stories from highly dubious sources.
