I’ve recently started to think I’m very likely to have had fibromyalgia since childhood. I’m going to the sliding scale clinic to try to get a referral tomorrow to eventually see a specialist, however long it will take. If I do have it, it will at least finally explain countless things.
Another issue I’ve always had is severe year round allergies. Whenever my rhinitis is especially bad, my entire body goes haywire. I recently started a new job that I had to quit after ten days. Ever since then I’ve had the worst tingling, numbness, pains, brain fog, etc. ever, along with the usual sinus/eye itching of allergy attacks (and yes, I did go to the emergency room two days ago to have them evaluate me as much as they could, which of course isn’t much since they’re not specialists).
I was working in the wares section of an exceptionally large and busy Goodwill. Not only was this job very strenuous, fast-paced, and full of overwhelming encounters with the public, but I was also dealing with tons of dust, cobwebs, smoke residue, animal hair, and who knows what all, from all the items I had to sort through. I feel like that last part could be a big factor, since it was so much of it day after day. Any of you with allergies, do you feel like they’re a really big trigger for flare-ups?
