Hi Boomers, cymbalta (duloxetine) is one of many drugs that are prescribed to people with fibromyalgia. The thing is, no one can tell you a yes or no answer to your question about that drug, or about any other drug given to people for fibro. That is because everyone experiences fibromyalgia a bit differently, and what helps one person only makes another person feel 10 times worse.
Many people who try cymbalta (including myself) find that they cannot tolerate the serious side effects that it can cause. And some people say it helps with the pain, and others say it does nothing at all. For me, it didn't help much with the pain and the side effects were intolerable. If asked for advice on it, I would steer a person away from that drug.
