I know different things work for different people but I'm interested to see what kind of answers this will receive! My girlfriend has fibromyalgia and is always a battle to see what will help more - I am always on the lookout for something that will make her feel better and she has really learned to manage it a lot better over the years (when she cans). What works for you?
Medication in order of what helps her the most:
*Tramadol (pain, fatigue, huge energy booster for her to doctor's surprise?)
*Tylenol (pain)
*Cymbalta (pain, anxiety/depression)
*Ibuprofen (pain)
*Flexeril (pain, helps her sleep)
*Benedryl (help sleep, also a very mild anti-anxiety med!)
*Provigil (helps keeping more alert and helps her concentrate - reduces "fibrofog")
Non-medication things she does, mostly in order of helpfulness:
*Get enough SLEEP. (pain and anxiety levels skyrocket when she doesn't get enough sleep.)
*Hot showers/baths
*Massages (luckily I'm trained to give them)
*Gentle exercise/stretching. (whenever she has enough energy to do it)
