Hi everyone,
In some ways I think I am one of the fortunate fibromyalgia sufferers in that I knew almost immediately what I had as my mother had it too. In March I had an event that lasted several days when I had slamming fatigue, flu symptoms, nausea. I expected to get better but I didn't. The pain localized mostly in my right leg but the fatigue continued and the fog started. Emailed my nurse practitioner and started working with my chiropractor who put me on supplements assuming I had "only" adrenal fatigue. After some weeks I wasn't feeling better so I pressed my NP to see a rheumatologist and she referred me. He was great, diagnosed me easily. Now I have the label (for what I knew anyway) and a scrip for nortriptyline if I want to take it- right now I am exploring alternative treatments including acupuncture and chiropractic. I use medical cannabis for relaxation, take hot tubs, ice. I have changed my work schedule ( am self employed) and said NO STRESS at home!
So, that's me in a nutshell. I am turning 60 this year.
Thank you for your support!
